Are you getting engaged? Are you already engaged? Let's talk about taking photos in and around Morrison. The obvious first draw is Red Rocks. Shooting in the actual amphitheater itself can be a tricky proposition, trying to balance park closures for events and navigating the natural foot traffic can be a bit of a pain. But with some planning anything is possible and it is one of the best places on earth if you haven't been.
Further south on the hogback you find Mt Falcon Park, there are two sides to this park. On the west you find yourself coming through the small community of Indian Hills, then driving almost up to the top of the mountain. There are beautiful views of the city and lots of forest. On the East side you find yourself in the Red Rocks ecosystem. Very dry, little to no cover but vast fields of grasses and the backdrop of Red Rocks.
And finally, Golden and Lookout mountain. Downtown Golden is drop dead gorgeous surrounded by historical buildings and Clear Creek running straight down the city. There are photo ops everywhere you look. Driving up Lookout Mountain you get an amazing look over Golden into Denver, one of my favorite views in the state.
